Hello all, and welcome to 2017. It’s going to be an interesting year, that’s for certain. Wonder if we’ll all be around for 2018. Let’s hope. But enough of the gloom and doom. All things considered, my 2017 is starting off pretty well. So I thought I’d talk about some of the things going on, for those interested in knowing.
THE MALAISE FALCHION – My fantasy noir novel came out in e-book format a few weeks back, and the paperback should be releasing within the next two weeks. I’m also excited to announce that it’s also going to be an audiobook. I’m working with Falcon Sound to create. I will get my 15-minute sample at the end of this month and should have the completed project ready to go by mid-February or so. More details when I get them. KNIGHT ERRANT – My third book to be released by Fiery Seas is a book I wrote with my longtime friend, Steve Murphy. A Guardians of the Galaxy style space opera with magic is set to be released sometime in April. We have a cover being worked on and will reveal as soon as we can. No exact date yet but once I have it I’ll be sure to let everyone know.
A TELEVISION PILOT – Speaking of my friend Steve, we also wrote a pilot screenplay for a potential television series we came up with. I honestly can’t say too much about it because I don’t want the idea floating out there for someone else to snag and come up with their own version. Paranoid, certainly. But better that than being incautious. I’ve sent it to our production lawyer for review and hopefully she will come up with some people to present it to. I’m also reaching out to the manager of a few actors I know to see if their clients will give it a read. I’m pretty excited about this one and I hope to be talking a lot more about it soon.
A JET ELLER PROJECT– Jet Eller, the director of the infamous and incredibly fun Night Feeders, is back at it and ready to make another project. He’s been working on the script for several months, we have some people working to get the money, and things are on track for it to happen sometime this year. Like everything else, I’ll let you know as soon as I know anything. If you’ve never seen Night Feeders, do yourself a favor. Grab some popcorn, a six-pack of your favorite, gather a few friends, and check it out here.
A CRY OF DECAY – After a bit of a hiatus working on other things, I’m getting back into Erick’s world and working on the second book of the Necromancer Saga. This one sees Erick and his companions traveling to locate a witch to help defeat his nemesis, the Master of Shadows. Hope to have it done and to the publisher for editing by April. That’s my goal. Gonna do my best.
